Agreement
By using renterupgrades.com, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
I may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated version. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
About the content
Everything on this site is published for general information only.
The ideas, products, and methods described here worked in specific apartments under specific conditions. Your building, your walls, your lease, and your landlord may be different. What comes off cleanly in one place can leave a mark in another.
Nothing here is professional advice. I’m not a contractor, an electrician, a lawyer, or a real estate professional, and nothing on this site should be treated as legal, financial, or construction advice.
Your lease is your responsibility
This is the important one.
Before you change anything in a rental, read your lease. Some agreements prohibit adhesive products, wallpaper, paint, or hardware changes of any kind. Some require written permission. Some are fine with almost everything.
I can’t know what yours says. Check it yourself, and when in doubt, ask your landlord or property manager in writing.
If a project damages a wall, a floor, a cabinet, or anything else, that’s between you and your lease. Renter Upgrades is not responsible for damage to your unit, for costs you incur, or for any part of a security deposit you don’t get back.
Safety
Some projects involve tools, ladders, adhesives, or electrical fixtures. Use common sense, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and stop if something feels beyond your skill level.
You take on all risk when you follow anything described on this site.
Products and recommendations
Product details, prices, and availability change without notice. Always check the retailer’s listing before buying.
I don’t manufacture, sell, or ship anything. If a product arrives damaged, fails, or isn’t what you expected, that’s a matter for the retailer or the manufacturer.
Recommendations here are opinions, not guarantees of performance.
